The attorney for suspended Pike County Circuit Judge Howard Keith Hall has asked for his trial to be delayed due to the complexity of the case.
J. Guthrie True, Hall’s attorney, is seeking for the court to push back the trial because he claims that the case involves several hundred gigabytes of discovery amounting to several million pages of data.
In the motion submitted, True said that for this case, it would be impossible for counsel to prepare for trial in Hall’s case by July 14.
Hall was indicted in April by a federal grand jury on charges of mail fraud and theft of government funds.
